The book purchase doesn't work

The book purchase is processed via the App Store (iOS) or Google Play. If the purchase doesn't work, try the following first:

  • Check that you have installed the latest version of the CABUU app and get the latest update if necessary.
  • Uninstall and download the app again. Make sure you sign up first if you haven't already done so. Otherwise, you could lose your learning progress and lists.

The book is not shown

The purchase worked, but the vocabulary collection is not displayed? Or did you accidentally delete your account and thus also the textbook? No problem, we can manually activate your purchased book for you. Please send us this information about this:

  • For which CABUU account we should activate the book (email address and username)
  • Which book you bought (Please specify the exact title and edition or ISBN)
  • Payment receipt as a screenshot

Where can I find the payment receipt?

Find payment receipts in the Google Play Store

  1. Open Google Play Store on your device.
  2. In the top right corner, tap on your profile picture.
  3. In the menu, select the item Payments & subscriptions.
  4. Tap Budget and progress.
  5. Here you can see an overview of your purchases. To see the full payment receipt for an order, tap on the corresponding order.
  6. You can also have your entire order history emailed to you by clicking on Send order receipt Type.

Alternative way via email:

  • After every purchase, you'll automatically receive a confirmation email from Google Play with the payment receipt. You can find this in your email inbox (search for “Google Play Purchase” or “Google Play Receipt”).

Find payment receipts in the Apple App Store

  1. Open settings on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. At the top, tap on your names.
  3. Go to Media & purchases and then tap View purchase history.
  4. You'll see a list of your recent purchases here. To see the details and payment receipt, tap on the specific purchase.
  5. If you need an email confirmation, you'll also find the order receipt in the confirmation email that Apple sends you after every purchase. Search for “Apple Bill” or “Apple Receipt” in your email inbox.

Alternative way via web browser:

  • You can also use a browser to reportaproblem.apple.com Go to see your purchase history Sign in with your Apple ID and you'll also find your receipts there.

Can I cancel the book purchase?

You can cancel in-app purchases within a limited period of time.

1. Refund on Google Play

You have 48 hours Time to return in-app purchases or apps directly from Google Play. Here's how you go about it:

  1. Open the Google Play Store And tap on your top right profile.
  2. Go to Order history.
  3. Find the in-app purchase or app that you want to cancel and select “Request a refund” or “Report a problem.”
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
💡 Note: Refunds may not be available if you've already used the content.

2. Refund in the Apple App Store

Things are a bit different in the Apple App Store. There's no fixed refund period here, but you can request a refund directly from Apple.

Here's how:

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
  2. Sign up with your Apple ID on.
  3. Select the app or in-app purchase that you'd like a refund for.
  4. State the reason for the refund and follow the instructions.
💡 Apple manually reviews every refund request. You'll get the refund if there was a problem with the purchase (such as accidental purchases or app errors).
