Tips for the scan function

With the scan function, we enable vocabulary lists to be transferred to the app via the mobile phone or tablet camera. You can use printed lists or handwritten ones, as long as they are reasonably legible. We always recommend that you double-check and revise the list if necessary before you start learning.

More scanning tips:

• Make sure that the word pairs are easy to read and are next to each other.
• The words should be big enough.
• Make sure the image is sharp.
• Hold your phone straight across the list to avoid perspective distortions.
• An Internet connection is required during scanning.
• Is your list too long to scan? Just take multiple pictures: After scanning, select Take another photo off.
• Check that the scanned language matches your current language selection

If the camera doesn't work, try this out too: In the main menu, tap on Account → fix problems → Standard/CABUU camera use. Test the different settings to see if they make an improvement.
